I always have opted for a very comfortable shoes, which probably helped minimize pain at this point in my life, but I knew it was time to seek a remedy, because starting at around 6 months ago they started to bother me, even when I'm not wearing shoes. As for the product purchased only one foot to the right to test this out, hallux regulator since the reviews were mixed and I had never experienced anything like it before. But, this works much better than I had hoped. I just read (overnight) and also to put on a sock on it because my feet are always cold. I can't walk in it at all (too much cumbersome), but I do not deny that some people perhaps could do it. Every foot is different. My perfect shoe is a 7.5 W (wide because of bursitis, anyway), so maybe that says something about the measure. Fits my foot and it really relieves the pressure of the big toe. After only 4 nights, I can honestly say that my right foot is now more comfortable during the day that my left foot. The device looks exactly as described. Of course it is overpriced for what it is (plastic, some padding in convoluted foam and some velcro), but if you're not going to make your own, I think it's worth it.
